Nick Mather has been involved in the junior resource sector at all levels for 35 years during which time he has been instrumental in the creation of resource companies with aggregate market caps at takeover and currently of approximately $6.8 billion. Nick's special area of experience and expertise is the generation of and entry into undervalued or unrecognised resource exploration opportunities. He brings a wealth of valuable experience. 

He is currently CEO of SolGold plc, heading up a tier 1 copper gold porphyry in Ecuador. Nick also sits on the board of IronRidge Resources, Aus Tin Mining, Armour Energy and Lakes Oil.  Nick is Managing Director and founder of DGR Global Limited (ASX) and was:

  • Co-founder and served as an Executive Director of Arrow Energy NL until 2004. Arrow Energy was acquired in 2010 by Shell and PetroChina, for a value of approximately $3.5 billion.

  • Founder and Chairman of Waratah Coal Inc. until December 2008 when it was acquired for $130 million.

  • A co-founder and Non-Executive Director of Bow Energy Limited until its recent takeover by Arrow Energy Pty Ltd in January 2012 for approximately $550 million

Nick also drove, as CEO, the discovery of the Pooncarie Mineral Sands project for BeMaX Resources prior to its purchase (£350 million) and the generation of the bulk of the asset base for Northern Energy ($250 million). He was a founding director of Orbis Gold which was sold in 2014 for AU$178 million and sub underwrote the refinancing of Ballarat Gold prior to its AU$500 million takeover by Lihir Gold.

david mason, chief executive officer


David Mason has a broad corporate, management and mining background achieved through working in the exploration and mining industry for 35 years throughout Australasia, Asia, Southern Africa and South America.

David is the Managing Director of Dark Horse Resources, a member of the DGR Global Group, focussing on mineral resources in South America. Dark Horse currently holds a large portfolio of lithium and gold properties in Argentina and intends to be a lithium hydroxide and gold bullion producer within several years.

Prior to this, David had executive director roles with Intra Energy Corporation Limited (ASX:IEC), a coal producer in East Africa; Overseas & General Limited (ASX:OGL) an Indonesian mining company; Haddington Resources (now Altura Mining, ASX:AJM) a new Australian Lithium producer; and the Swabara Group, which developed the Adaro Indonesia coal mine, the Pulau Laut shipping terminal and the 1,260MW thermal Paiton Power Station.

David holds a BSc (Hons) and a PGradDipBA from the University of Queensland and an MBA from University of Southern Queensland.



Mr Beckton has over 25 years of geological and corporate experience throughout Australia, the Americas, China and Europe.  Mr Beckton’s experience to date includes:

  • Managing the discovery of Exeter Resource Corporation’s 30 million ounce gold equivalent Caspiche Porphyry Project in the Maricunga Gold Copper Belt of Chile.

  • Appointment as Project Manager for Bolnisi Gold N.L.’s Palmarejo silver gold project in Mexico and managing the program which grew the resource base to over 3 million ounces gold equivalent.

  • Appointment as Managing Director of ASX-listed Chinalco Yunnan Copper Resources which explored in the Mt Isa, Lao and Chilean copper districts.

Mr Beckton is currently the founder and Managing Director of Prospech Limited, exploring gold and silver projects in Central Europe.  He is also a Director of Redhill Australia Pty Ltd, which has developed and sold companies in the Magallanes and Ibanez districts of southern Chile, and of Sambas Energy Pty Ltd, which purchased the coal assets of Tigers Minerals in southern Chile and subsequently optioned them to an ASX-listed company.

Brian Moller, non-executive Director 


Brian Moller is a corporate partner in the Brisbane based law firm HopgoodGanim. He was admitted as a solicitor in 1981 and has been a partner since 1983. Brian practices almost exclusively in the corporate area with an emphasis on capital raising, mergers and acquisitions.  He holds an LLB Hons from the University of Queensland and is a member of the Australian Mining and Petroleum Law Association.

Brian  acts for many public listed resource and industrial companies and brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the board particularly in the corporate regulatory and governance areas. 

Mr Moller is currently a Non-Executive Director of ASX listed DGR Global Limited Limited, Platina Resources Limited and AusTin Mining Limited, and SolGold plc, which is listed on the London Stock Exchange (AIM).

Priy Jayasuriya, Chief Financial Officer


B.Comm, CA

Priy is an innovative and solutions focused Chartered Accountant with over 20 years extensive commercial and Big 4 experience.  Priy has worked across diverse industries in demanding international environments in Australia, Singapore and the United States of America and brings a range of expertise in the areas of due diligence, internal control, corporate governance, international financial reporting and statutory compliance.

Priy commenced his career with Ernst & Young and holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Queensland and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia.

Priy has significant experience in mergers and acquisitions, with a strong background in financial management and reporting, as well as working with cross cultural teams. 

Karl Schlobohm, Company Secretary 


B.Comm, B.Econ, M.Tax, CA, AICD

Karl has over 20 years' experience in the accounting profession across a wide range of business and industries. He has previously been contracted into CFO roles with ASX-listed resource companies Discovery Metals Limited and Meridian Minerals Limited, and as Company Secretary of ASX-listed Linc Energy Limited, Agenix Limited, Discovery Metals Limited and Global Seafood Australia Limited. 

Mr Schlobohm is a Chartered Accountant and holds Bachelor Degrees in Commerce and in Economics, and a Master Degree in Taxation.

Mr Schlobohm is also contracted to act as the Company Secretary of ASX-listed DGR Global Limited, Dark Horse Resources Limited, Aus Tin Mining Limited and Armour Energy Limited. 

BOYD WHITE, chief development officer


Boyd White has over 30 years of extensive experience in a wide variety of market sectors including power, transmission/distribution, transport, mining, oil & gas, and major infrastructure in Asia, Australian and Europe.

Mr White is the Chief Development Officer of Dark Horse Resources, and is responsible for the commercial development of relevant infrastructure for the lithium and gold exploration projects in Argentina. Mr White is also the Managing Director of a wholly owned subsidiary, Dark Horse Energy Pty Ltd, a new energy company focused on thermal and renewable generation.

Prior to Dark Horse Resources, Mr White held executive roles with Halliburton, KBR, Tarong Energy and Territory Generation and has successfully developed various power, mining, oil and gas, transport and infrastructure projects in Australia and internationally.

Simultaneously with his role at Dark Horse Resources, Mr White provides advice and invests in developing energy infrastructure projects globally as the Executive Director of New Energy Capital.

Boyd White completed a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) from Queensland University of Technology, and holds an MBA from the University of Queensland.



Marcelo Sanchez has worked in the Argentine engineering and mining industry for over 30 years with a broad corporate, management and project development background. Currently he is the Argentina Country Manager for Dark Horse Resources, managing the large portfolio of lithium brine and spodumene tenements, with a target to construct a Li Hydroxide/Carbonate plant for 15k tpa.

Prior to the role of Country Manager for Dark Horse Resources, Mr Sanchez project managed the Olaroz lithium brine project in Orocobre from its initial development phase to its success as a Lithium Carbonate factory. He was also the Business Development Manager, responsible for the management of the Borax commercial strategy.

Marcelo began his career as a Project & Process Engineer for various international chemical companies based in Argentina. He holds a Chemical Engineer degree from the La Plata University, and an MBA from Salvador University of Buenos Aires.
